FAQ

For questions regarding your purchase of extra large wall art, please feel free to contact us at any time. We work closely with homeowners, and designers for commercial and private installations of oversized canvas art, abstract wall art, etc.

Do the prints look natural?

Yes. Due to the high resolution scans of the original paintings, unlike digital art, our  reproductions show all the natural brushstrokes, paint variances, and original irregularities in exact detail. This is particularly noticeable on enlargements, and also contributes to our prints looking strikingly similar to originals.

Can you reproduce the artwork in different colors?

No. The artwork is printed without digital or manual manipulation.

Do you carry other sizes than what's listed for reproductions?

Yes. The sizes listed are commonly ordered sizes. Other sizes can be accommodated upon request. Feel free to drop us a note.

Where do you manufacture your artwork?

All canvas prints are made to order and custom made 100% in USA.

Can I see your prints upfront?

No. We do not carry inventory of our canvas prints. They are all made to order, and directly shipped from our printers to the customers.

Why do you ship some of the artwork "rolled" in a tube?

Due to the large size of some of the artwork, we ship them in a tube to avoid exorbitant shipping costs. This way we pass the savings on to our customers, who can frame or stretch their artwork locally.

What is the difference between rolled and stretched canvases?

Rolled canvases are shipped in a tube and need to be locally stretched. They have a 2" white border for framing or stretching purposes.

Stretched canvases are stretched on a wood structure and ready to hang.

Should I frame or stretch the rolled canvas myself?

We highly recommend you allow a professional stretch or frame your rolled canvas art. Given the rolled canvases are typically large, most professionals use special machinery or tools to make sure the canvas is properly installed on a framework, is taut on the surface, and doesn't scratch in the process.

How do I find a professional to stretch my canvas?

All professional framers can stretch your canvas. Sometimes the independent framers are cheaper than chain stores. Your canvas will have a 2" white border for these purposes, and we recommend a 1.5" framework for stretching. Make sure your framer can work with these measurements. You can shop around for their fees on the phone. For example, for a 36" x 72" rolled canvas you can ask them to quote you for "a 36x72 canvas with 2" border on 1.5" stretchers".

How do I make my buying experience better on Shoa Gallery?

Feel free to ask questions prior to shopping. We typically respond within 24 hours.

Please measure your walls carefully prior to ordering. The vast majority of our return requests are due to incorrect sizing.
