Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? Feel free to contact us at any time. We are happy to help.

The Artwork

What medium are the original paintings? All original paintings are on canvas, primarily in acrylics. Some works incorporate added oil pastels and ink for additional texture and depth. Each original is a one-of-a-kind piece.

Are canvas prints exact reproductions of the original paintings? Yes. Our prints are produced from high-resolution scans of the original paintings. Unlike digital art, our reproductions capture all the natural brushstrokes, paint variances, and original irregularities in exact detail, particularly noticeable at larger sizes, and a key reason our prints look strikingly similar to originals.

Do canvas prints have texture? Canvas prints are flat. The print surface does not replicate the physical texture of the original painting. However, the visual detail — brushstrokes, paint variation, depth — is faithfully reproduced, but the surface is smooth.

Can the artwork be reproduced in different colors? No. All prints are produced directly from original scans without digital or manual color manipulation. This preserves the integrity of the original work and is not something we are able to modify.

Do you carry sizes other than what is listed? Yes. The sizes listed are our most commonly ordered. Custom sizes are available for most pieces for a small additional fee. Contact us with your dimensions and the piece you are interested in.

Canvas Formats

What is the difference between rolled canvas and stretched canvas? Rolled canvas is printed and shipped in a protective tube. It is ideal for clients who prefer to have the canvas framed or stretched locally, or for shipments where a tube travels more reliably and cheaper than a framed piece. Stretched canvas is mounted on solid wood stretcher bars, gallery-wrapped, and arrives ready to hang with no additional framing required.

Which format should I choose? If you want the most convenient ready-to-hang option, choose stretched canvas. If you are working with a local framer, prefer a specific frame profile, or need flexibility in how the piece is finished, rolled canvas is the better choice. Not sure? Contact us and we will help you decide.

Sizing & Placement

How do I choose the right size? Every product listing includes a reference image showing the best way to measure your walls for the size of the artwork. Please measure your wall space carefully before ordering — the vast majority of return requests are due to incorrect size selection. When in doubt, we are happy to advise if you share a photo of your space.

Do colors on screen match the actual print? Colors on our website are very accurate though your computer monitor's calibration and settings may slightly change the colors.
