Pepperdine University in Southern California conducts annual memorials of the victims of 9/11 by representing each victim with the flag of their country on the front lawn of the university facing the Pacific Ocean. This painting is based on a photo we took on the 10th anniversary of 9/11 at Pepperdine. It was truly a moving experience.
